Mangalore, Sep 27: The Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy will be organizing ‘Konkani Mahotsav’ at St Joseph’s Community Hall, Mira Road, Mumbai on Sunday September 30.  The programme has been organized in association with Maharastra Konkani Bhasha Mandal and Mira Road Konkani Welfare Association.

The programme will be inaugurated at 11 am. Maxim Mathias and Gilbert Baptist will be the chief guests. ‘Voveo Vers’ (traditional Konkani songs) workshop will be held later. Academy president Eric Ozario, Irene Rebello and Hilda D’Souza, will be the resource persons for ‘Voveo Vers’ programme.

Later poet Ancy Paladka will conduct the poetry session. At the same time interactive session will be held with the eminent Konkani writer Fr Rudolph V D’Souza and dramatist Dr Chandrashekhar Shenoy. Eric Ozario will lead the Konkani music programme ‘Bosnni’ at the end of the programme, stated a press release from the Academy.
