Mangalore, Sep 28:  Dr BR Ambedkar Foundation has decided to support the candidates of BJP and JD(S) in the upcoming corporation, municipality, town municipal elections in all the districts of Karnataka, said Shivappa Renkedaguttu, state president of the foundation here on Thursday September 27.

Addressing media persons, the state president stated that Vasantha Bangera has threatened Bifatamma, a JD (S) candidate contesting from eighth ward on Wednesday and asked her not to contest. The congress activists have created mess realizing the certainty of losing polls in eleven wards. Harish Kumar and Vasanth Bangera should be arrested immediately on the grounds that these are mainly responsible for all the chaos.

Condemning the statement by Janardhan Poojari that dalits and other citizens can not leave without liquor, Renkedaguttu asserted that vote bank politics and liquor have been the policies of Congress to come to power.  But this would be ended by the voters this time around.
 
Mahesh Kumar, Narayana Bhatta Muguli, Harish Kumar and other ten supporters who are of the attitude that Dalits should not contest in general seats should be arrested immediately, for having stopped a dalit woman from contesting the polls.
 
Ivan Ruskin, state spokesman, Vinaya, president of women’s wing, Mohan, president of  Karkala unit, Shivaprakash, activist were present at the press conference.
