Udupi, Sep 28: Preparations for the Model UN Nations (MUN) which will be held in Manipal under the banner of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) are going on in full swing. MUN will be held on Thursday October 11 and Friday October 12, said Ayush Prasad, deputy secretary general of MUN here on Wednesday September 25.
Speaking to reporters, Prasad said that students from various in colleges including metropolitan cities will attend the Model UN.
The general assembly of the MUN will be held on both the days. Global warming and nuclear disarmament will be the topic for discussion during MUN.
Registration for outstation participants will be free of cost, Prasad informed.
The Model United Nations will be inaugurated on Wednesday October 10. On this day, a film festival focussing on United Nations, war, peace, global warming and nuclear related issues will be held.
