Mangalore, Sep 28: The body of a fisherman, who had drowned near Old Port here a couple of days ago after a fishing boat capsized was found at Ullal beach here on Thursday September 27.

According to police the deceased has been identified as Krishnamurthy.

According to the sources, the mishap occurred when the boat of the said fisherman was about to enter the estuary. The sea was rough due to strong wind and huge waves.  The boat was trying to enter the port.  Since the port was already full, it was denied entry.  So it was heading towards Old Port when the mishap occured.
