Mangalore, Sep 29:
The Dakshina Kannada District D Group Government Employees' Association will hold sports day and talents day for D-Group employees and children on October 10 and October 2 respectively, said Ramesh Kirodian, president of the association, at a press meet here on Saturday September 29.
 
The sports day will be held at Mangala Stadium here, while the talents day will be held in the Karnataka State Government Employees’ auditorium.
 
The sports day will be inaugurated by Sadananda Shetty, president, Kreeda Promoters’ Club. D Chinappa Gowda, president, Karnataka State Government Employees’ Association, will preside over the function.

Krishnappa Poojari, commissioner, Mangalore City Corporation, M C Ramesha, deputy director, sports official, Youth Services, Vishwanatha Shetty, president, association for drivers of government vehicles, will be the guests of honour.
 
The talents day will be inaugurated by Gopal Krishna Bhat, joint commissioner, Income Tax Department, Mangalore, chaired by Monappa Poojari, vice president, Karnataka State Government Employees Association. 
 
B N Balakrishna, superintendent engineer, PWD Circle, Mangalore, P Shivashankara, deputy secretary, ZP, Mangalore, S Narsimharaju, ZP Engineering Section, HC Ramalinge Gowda, deputy director, Information Department, will be the chief guests. 
 
Fifty employees will be felicitated for rendering their valuable services at the valedictory function of the golden jubilee celebration that would be held on December 7. Convention of D-Group employees, release of souvenir and entertainment programmes will be part of the events, said Kirodian.
 
 K Dharmapala, chief secretary, Cyril Robert D'Souza, treasurer, Chandrahasa Shetty, convener, Golden Jubilee Celebration, Baskara Devadiga, convener, Pooje, were present at the press meet.
