Mangalore, Oct 14: The division bench of the high court of Karnataka comprising of Manjula Chellur and AS Pachhapura ordered for issuance of notices to the registrar of Mangalore University on a contempt petition filed by Srinivas College affiliated to the Mangalore University, sources here informed.
The College in its notice before the division bench allegedly stated that the said University had failed to execute the order issued by a single judge directing the university to grant affiliation to the College. Further, it states that the university had failed to approve the admission list of MBA students from the College. These acts, the College stated was tantamount to contempt of court, the College declared.
Taking cognizance of the complaint, the Bench ordered issuance of notices and adjourned the case for further hearing.
