Mangalore, Oct 14: As the JD (S) has denied BJP the opportunity to form the government, it is now the Congress party that has gained the upper hand to form government in the state.

The ground reality is that presidential rule has been imposed in the State. However, the assembly has not been dissolved, only suspended. Hence the effort to form a Congress-JD (S) combined government still continues, unabated.

According to informed sources here, Congress Union minister M V Rajashekharan will be the new chief minister and M P Prakash from the JD (S) will be the new deputy chief minister of Karnataka.

At the same time, former deputy chief minister Siddaramaiah who quit JD (S) and joined Congress recently, will be offered M V Rajashekhar’s post in the Centre.

If the above conjecture does indeed come true, Abhayachandra, MLA of Mulki-Moodbidri constituency will be the new district in-charge minister of Dakshina Kannada, same sources added. Thus, there is a possibility of a change in the political scenario of the state and coastal area in a few days, sources analyzed.

One may recall that Union minister Oscar Fernandes had paid a visit to Bangalore and held discussions with Siddaramiah and other Congress leaders few days ago.

When Congress was in Power HDK was not allowing for any improvement. Ever since Kumaraswamy became CM, everything was back to track. The roads which congress govt could take care of, JD(S) did it. However i just wonder what HDK was really trying to achieve bu stopping the development during congress rule? HDK will go to the extreme of ruining the state for his personal and party benefit. Is congress going to gain anything this time with JD(S) support? What will be results of next election? who will win the majortiy? if not what next? Elections again?? Time to think for people of karnataka to forget thier party of religion, minorities and focus on something better "a good government that can develop and rule a state".
