Udupi, Oct 15: A request has been made to Union Minister Oscar Fernandes to start a train service between Mumbai and Udupi by the Block Congress here recently.

Block Congress leaders opined that the city is fast becoming an attractive tourist spot and a place for higher education, it is therefore imperative to start train services between Udupi and Mumbai. To back his claim he said that the city has become an attractive place for the IT sector and it is also now a place drawing students from different parts of the world to study. 

In view of the above Oscar Fernandes declared that the need of the hour is the early commencement of a train service between the city and Mumbai as it will greatly help the people who come from different places for different purpose to the city which is a  tourist spot and centre of higher education.

    Are Baaba ! from whom they are demanding ? It is their own Government at the Centre . Whom they want to impress upon?

    Though Mr. Oscar Fernandes is trying his best to do something to the area, I am sure thre will be more negative comments than positve ones.
