Kundapur, Oct 16: A fisheries woman was found dead in pond at Kumbhashi-Koravadi near Thekkatte here on Sunday October 14 night.
The deceased has been identified as Paddu Mogerthi (59), wife of Sheena Marakala of Koravadi village. However, according to the sources the incident may be a pre-planned act.
The marks of knife on the neck, a rope wrapped around and marks on chest and arms clearly indicate that it was a murder.
The earring which she wore has been damaged whereas the rest of the jewelleries are left on the body itself. The reason for murder is not yet discovered. But the personal record of the woman speaks well about her character too.
City police station limits have registered the case.
