Mangalore, Nov 6: Ananthakrisha, chairman of Karnataka Bank urged the regional functionaries to accelerate the growth of saving and current account deposits.

He was speaking at the conference of the bank to review the performance for the quarter ended September 2007.

He further said that the rapid changes have brought new challenges. The bankers must meet them and accept them as opportunities.

Part-time Training Courses  

A four-week-part-time training course on ‘CNC programming and machining’ will be conducted by ministry of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises development institute shortly.

The training will be conducted at its workshop at Yeyyadi industrial estate. Candidates who have finished their BE diploma and ITI in mechanical engineering are eligible to apply for the said training.
