Udupi: Annual Yakshagana Kalaranga Awards Announced

Udupi, Nov 7: Yakshagana Kalaranga has announced it annual awards here on Tuesday November 6.

 The secretary of the Kalaranga Murali Kadekar informed that the Bharati Kala Sadan Sri Edneer Math of Kasargod has bagged the Sri Vishweshateertha award.

He also announced the following individual awards on the occasion:
B B Shetty award to Yakshagana artiste Kodakallu Gopalkrishna Bhat, B V Acharya award to Pethri Madhu Naik, Nittur Sundar Shetty award to Mukhyaprana Kinnigoli, Bhagavata Naranappa Uppoor  award to Mahabalashewara Bhat of Dharmashale, Dashavatari Marvi Ramakrishna Hebbar-Bhagavata Vadiraja Hebbar award to Agari Raghuram Bhagwat, Kota Vaikuntha award to Subbanna Ganiga Heranjalu, Padur Narasimha Shastri award to Sujana Sullia and H R Kedlaya award to Jamburu Ramchandra Shanbhag.

Shree Vishweshatieertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math would be presenting the awards at the Poornaprajna Auditorium, said Murali Kadekar.
