Kundapur, Nov 30: The public of Kundapur town municipality had recently been put to hardship due to sudden stoppage of water supply through public taps.

The poor workers and the people below poverty line strongly expressed their complaints against the order alleged to have been passed by the chief officer of the Kundapur town municipality.

The BJP had not yet taken over the municipal administration. Yet, the minister in-charge of the Udupi District Dr VS Achar interfered in the matter.

The active workers of the Congress party, on pressing for the immediate action, were assured of an alternate source of arrangement by the deputy commissioner.

Shyamala Bhandary, Vinay Pais, Ganesh Sherigara, Devaki Sannayya, Pushpa Shet, Chandra Shaker Kharvi, Vasanthi Kharvi, Sadananda Kharvi and Subhash Poojary were the members present along with others during the visit of the deputy commissioner.
