Good initiative by Balanjaneya Gym. Probably one of the best known in Mangalore for creating some beautiful bodies and weightlifters of fame, Balanjaneya Gym has its own great track record of producing topnotch winners even at the National level if my memory serves me right. Even many kabaddi players came out of the Gym and shone whenever they played for various teams.

It is noteworthy that a power lifting competition for South Zone states has been organised and Balanjaneya deserves all the praise for such an effort. Mangalore has seen many such competitions but this one is something special as it comes to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the famous Gymnasium. Surely, there will some diamonds emerging out of this contest and possibly most of them from our own Mangalooru.
