Bengaluru, Dec 16: The Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) is all set for its annual year-end event ‘Season of Smiles’ designed to welcome over one million travellers during the peak holiday season.

Between December 15 and January 3, the airport will transform itself into a holiday land as the airport officials put it.

Shopping offers, music performances by various artistes, interactive photo opportunities and art installations will be part of the event. Performing at the event will be groups from the Bangalore School of Music, Bryden and Parth featuring The Choral Riff, Chord 9 and Winter Bells. The performances will take place on the kerb side and within the terminal. Kerbside shows will be free and open to all.

A life-size Christmas tree will be part of the installations. Specially curated festive menus will be available at all the food and beverage outlets, a press release said.

All through this time, travellers and guests can also participate in a lucky draw by purchasing products or F&B worth Rs 200 or above at any of the retail, food and beverage outlets and lounges at the kerb and inside the airport.

The festival updates will be available as #seasonofsmiles on @BLRAirport on Twitter and Facebook.

On December 16, the celebrations will start with a performance by The Bangalore Men from Bangalore School of Music.

This will be followed by the Cecilian Choir of Bangalore School of Music. A performance by Bryden and Parth will entertain passengers on December 23.
