Mangalore: 'Cater-act' Food Fest All Set to Woo Epicures

Mangalore, Feb 15: Only a week after Mangaloreans enjoyed  a couple of delicious food festivals in the city, Moti Mahal College of Hotel Management is all set to tickle tastebuds of gourmet's yet again with its annual food fest 'Cater-act 2008' on Saturday February 16 on the poolside of Hotel Moti Mahal.

Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday February 13, college principal Prof Abhijit Mukherjee informed that manager of Gold Finch Hotel Charles Verghese will inaugurate the food fest.

Delicacies from India and around the world will be served with each item costing not more than Rs 35. The college students will also put their culinary skills to test by making dishes with new, creative recipes of their own.

For those looking for entertainment along with lip-smacking food, DJ Praveen Nair, winner of the War of DJs contest in 2006, will keep the visitors engrossed in foot-tapping music. There will also be a laser show, a separate dance floor for ladies and spot competitions, Verghese informed.

The ticket will cost Rs 75 per person. More than 3000 people are expected to be present, he added.
