Speaking at the inaugural function, appreciating prof Tukaram Poojary's contribution to art prof Someshwara informed "Our culture is slowly vanishing however, it is largely due to prof Tukaram Poojary that it is surviving and thriving today. This is quite evident in this museum, which is the best example," he added.

Prof. Tukaram Poojary has invested his entire earnings on the project to preserve Tulu artefacts and antiques and gone through lot of hardships in bringing the project to this level. Some time back an industrialist offered him to buy the entire collection and Prof. Poojary rejected the offer saying that was not his purpose.

Today he has realised his dream. I congratulate him and thank him for his contributions to our culture. I call on all the Tuluvas to support his noble cause because its our future generations, going to benefit by this project.
