Mangalore: Young Docs Show Volleyball Skills at FMMC Tourney

Mangalore, Jun 7: Father Muller Medical College organized a five-day inter-class volleyball tournament individually for the men and women’s teams from Monday June 2 to Friday June 6.

The MBBS batch 2007 secured the top honours in the women’s category while MBBS batch 2005 won the men's tourney.

The finals of the women's category was played between MBBS batch 2004 and MBBS batch 2007 while the men's finals was between interns and MBBS batch 2005.

Akshatha C of MBBS batch 2004 was adjudged receiever of the series while Rajeshwari of MBBS batch 2007 was awarded the player of the series title in the women's category.

Among the men, Roshan of the interns team was adjudged receiver of the series while player of the series title went to Aaron Fernandes of MBBS batch 2005.

The series concluded with a short valedictory function. Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director, FMCI, Fr Denis D’Sa, administrator, FMMC, Dr B Sanjeev Rai, dean, FMMC awarded the prizes to the winners.
