Sullia, Jun 9: Congress party sources have said, that Nityanand Mundody from has been chosen as the party candidate for the vacant MLC seat from the local administration's constituency from the twin districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi. Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee that took a final decision on his candidature, issued him form 'B' at Bangalore on Sunday June 8.
It is learnt, that the Congress wanted to have a representative from the Gowda community, as it is faced with the dearth of a leader from that community in the twin districts. He will be filing his nomination in Mangalore on Monday June 9.
