Mangaluru: St Jude Shrine Pakshikere holds community wedding celebration

Mangaluru, Oct 27: St Jude Shrine Pakshikere on Tuesday, October 24  held  community wedding celebration. Ten couples from very poor families exchanged marriage vows. All their wedding needs were met by the shrine.

Fr Walter D’Mello was the main celebrant. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, parish priest of St Jude Shrine, and Fr Clifford Pinto, assistant parish priest and seven guest priests concelebrated the Mass and blessed the couples.

A felicitation programme followed. Newly weds were felicitated in the Golden Jubilee Hall and gathered for a community meal. Large crowd was present. Jackson Saldanha, vice president of pastoral parish council welcomed the gathering and Robert D'Souza, Nithyadar compered the programme. Entire programme was telecasted live.
