Mangaluru: Western Range duty meet - Udupi police bags all round awards

Mangaluru, Oct 27: Udupi district police team bagged the all-round team award including eight gold, six silver and one bronze medal in the duty meet of Western Range level that took place at Infosys campus in Mudipu on October 23 and 24.

Top police officers and personnel from Mangaluru Commissionerate, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, and Chikkamagaluru participated in the competitions held at the meet.

Vinayaka Billava, PSI, Udupi city crime branch, bagged the gold medal in forensic science, finger print and handling-lifting-packing and silver medal in crime scene photography, Srikanth, circle inspector, Brahmavar circle secured the bronze medal in Criminal Law division, Girish, ARSI, was awarded the gold medal in police photography, Lakshmana H C, bagged gold in police videography, Rajesh, AHC, secured gold in room check, Harish, ACP, was awarded gold in explosives, Nagesh, PC, bagged silver in police photography, Gokula, PC, bagged silver in observation section, Subramanya, APC, was awarded silver medals in vehicle check and friction and exercise control section, and Lokesh, APC, got silver in room check section.

Narayana, PSI, DCRB was in-charge and Prakash, DCRB, was the coach of the team.

Dr Sanjeeev M Patil, IPS, district police duperintendent, Kumarachandra, addtional superintendent of police and all the officers of the district have lauded the performance of Udupi distict police team that took part in the competition.
