Kuwait: Kannada Koota Marks Colorful Rajyotsava Celebrations

Kuwait, Nov 15: The annual event of Kannada Koota Kuwait (KKK)- "Karnataka Rajyotsava- 2008", was held under the presidentship of Dr. Peter D’Souza on 14th November 2008 at American International School Auditorium (Dr Kamal Al Rayes Auditorium), Maidan Hawally, Kuwait. 

The program started with formal welcome by Sunny Kalaiah followed by lighting of lamp by Chief guest Dr. Fahd Al Mulla, Vice President of Kuwait University, K.N.Rao, first secretary Indian Embassy, John Benjamin of Brigade Enterprises- Bangalore and President of KKK Dr. Peter D’Souza.  The President, chief guest and gust of honor delivered their speeches to the gathering.  President Dr. Peter D’Souza along with Chief guest Dr. Fahd Al Mulla released the souvenir.




























During the entertainment part dances from USA, Japan- China, Arab, Kashmir, Gujarat, Assam and Kannada were performed with a unique narration from Hanuman to a girl who was always rejected by her co-students as she could not dance well.  At second part, a mythological skit ‘BABRUVAHANA’ was presented by KKK members, which was directed by Vikram Bailthaliya.

The directors of dances and skit were introduced by vice president Nagaraj H. Subbarao and were honored with flower bouquets by the sponsors.  He also thanked the sponsors for their support.  Suresh Agaram conducted raffle draw.  The program came to an end with vote of thanks by secretary, Prabhakar and National Anthem.  A delicious vegetarian dinner prepared by Caesars restaurant was served at the end.  The whole event was well compered by Sunny Kalaiah.
