Mangalore: Yogeesh Acharya Bags ‘National Integration Award'

Mangalore, Jan 30: Yogish K Acharya was conferred with the ‘Jnanayogi National Integration Award 2007-2008' at the National Integration Vishwakarma Meet organized here recently.

The event was organized by the State Vishwakarma Socio-Political Working Committee.

Shrikantadatta Narasimharaja Wodeyar of Mysore handed over the award to Yogish K Acharya, Sri Navadurga Temple, Jappina Mogaru, for his contribution in the field of astrology.

Yogish, son of Gopalkrishna Acharya and Leelavati couple, has financially supported several poor students to get school education. He has the rare distinction of diagnosing and curing many diseases that had even been a challenge for the medical profession.

N S Purushottam Acharya, state president of the committee and MLA C T Ravi, Chikmagalur, participated in the meet.
