Mangalore: CM to Visit Soutadka Mahaganapati Temple on Jan 30

Mangalore, Jan 30: Chief minister (CM) B S Yeddyurappa will visit the famous Soutadka Sri Mahaganapati temple of Sullia on Friday January 30.

Besides taking part in a religious ceremony there, the CM will inaugurate the child care centre and cow shelter (Goshala) at 7.30 pm.

Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math, Shri Vidyaprasannateertha Swamiji of Subrahmanya, Dr V S Acharya, state home minister and D V Sadananda Gowda, member of parliament, will accompany him during is visit to Soutadka.

The special oblation 'Ganahoma' will be performed at 8 am, while 'Moodappa Seve' will be held at 9 pm.

Sridhar Bhat and group, Uppinangady, will present a classical musical programme from 10.30 am and Vidwan Shankaran Namboodri will present Carnatic classical singing concert at 5.30 pm, a release stated.
