Bantwal: ‘Lava-Kusha Kambala’ held at Fajeer

Bantwal, Feb 23: The inaugural of the ‘Lava-Kusha Kambala’ was held at Fajeer Kedegebail of Bantwal on Saturday February 21. 

Speaking after inaugurating the Kambala, M Ravindranath Alva, businessman, Bellary, said that the Kambala is the game of farmers of the districts and hence, it must be preserved and encouraged.

Delivering the benedictory speech on the occasion, Fr Stany Pereira, said that Kambala has become a centre of harmony as it impartially helps people of various castes and religions to mingle freely.

Tumbe Jayaram Samani presided over the function.

Seshappa Tailor, member, gram panchayat, Jacinta Pereira, president, gram panchayat, B Shambha Shetty, retired officer, Karnataka State Regional Road Transport Corporation, and A K Jayaram Sheka, president, district Bus Ownwers’ Association, conveyed best wishes on the success of the Kambala.

Jayaram Santa welcomed the gathering.

Mittakodi Venkappa Kajava, president, Kambala Committee, Niranjan Shetty, N Timmappa Kode, and Prashant Kajava, were present on the ocacsion.
