Mangalore, Feb 23: Applications are invited for the Konkani Book Award instituted by the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, said a press release.
According to the release, the book must have been published between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008.
Books would be selected for prizes in these categories—Konkani translated book (from Kannada or other languages to Konkani), Konkani poem, and Konkani short story/novel/research book.
The application should be accompanied with four copies of the book, profile of the author, and a recent passport size photo of the author. These can be sent to the registrar, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, City Corporation Building, Lalbagh, Mangalore-3 by Thursday March 5. For further details, contact 0824-2453167.
