Bangalore, Feb 24: Three children who were playing in front of their home in Bande Hosur village within Bagalur police station limits near here, died after they fell into a water storage tank of their house on Monday February 23.

The deceased have been identified as Shalini (7), Krittika (6) and Pavan(2), children of Ramanath Shetty, owner of a stone crusher and resident of Bande Hosur village. The children were playing in the courtyard of the house, when Pavan accidentally fell into the tank. Shalini and Krittika, who tried to save their younger siblings, too lost their lives after falling into the tank.

As elders were not around, the young children could not be saved.

Loosing all 3 kids together is terrible. Deepest condolences to the Shetty family. Parents should talk to their children and make them understand that they should call for help in such eventualities, and not put their life into danger by attempting to save.

The parents should take care of the children when they are playing. Moreover, every child should be taught how to float if he or she accidentally falls into a pool of water.
