Mangalore: Sena Smells BJP Conspiracy in Decision to Expel Members

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (TU/CN)

Mangalore, Feb 24: The Sri Rama Sena (SRS) on Tuesday February 24 alleged that the decision of the district administration to expel its workers from the district and to restrict entry of Pramod Muthalik is a conspiracy by the state government to destroy the organization.

Addressing media persons at the Press Club here, Arun Kumar Puthila, state convener, said that the allegation made by home minister Dr V S Acharya that the SRS is nothing but a ‘hafta’ collecting organization is baseless. “He should prove his allegations first. BJP has forgotten Hindutva ideologies after assuming power”, accused Puthila.

Urging the district administration to withdraw its decision, he added that the administration will be held responsible for any untoward incidents in the state if they stick to their decision.

“SRS will stage a statewide protest condemning the district administration’s decision. Muthalik has not been directly involved in any communal violence in the state. He never wanted to hurt anyone. This is a part of the BJP government’s conspiracy to demolish the SRS”, claimed Puthila.

He also said that the allegation of involvement in criminal activities by SRS activists had not yet been proved.

Leaders Hithesh Udupi, Madhukar Mudradi, and Kumar Malemar were present at the press meet.
