Bangalore: It is Official : Ex-minister Nagamarapalli Joins BJP

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Feb 25: Former minister, veteran  Congress leader and five-time MLA Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli, who had resigned from his membership of the legislative assembly a few weeks earlier, joined the BJP on Monday February 23.

It is almost a forgone conclusion, that he will fight the ensuing  Loksabha election as a BJP candidate from Bidar constituency.  The fact that this constituency has been dereserved on account of delimitation process, has come in handy for Nagamarapalli.

He was given a warm welcome by the BJP spokesperson Dhananjay Kumar and state vice president E Ashwathnarayan. Nagamarapalli will be formally welcomed into the BJP fold at a grand function to be held in the presence of former deputy prime minister L K Advani, chief minister Yeddyurappa and other top leaders, in his home district shortly.
