Mangalore: Bajrang Dal Pamphlet Found on University College Notice Board

The Hindu

Mangalore, Feb 26: A pamphlet distributed by the Bajrang Dal during a rally against Valentine’s Day here has been “found” on a notice board of the University College, a constituent college of the Mangalore University.

A student of the college told The Hindu on Wednesday that he and his friends saw the pamphlet on the notice board for the first time on February 17. They did not inform the principal about it as “we assumed that those who had put it up would have sought the principal’s permission”. Vice-Chancellor of the university K.M. Kaveriappa said that putting up notices related to “outside, non-academic organisations” on the college notice board was not permitted. “But if the college principal permits it, then it is acceptable,” he said. Principal of the college Seetharam Poojari said: “I have no clue about the pamphlet being put up on the notice board. Someone may have put it up this noon.”

Mr. Poojari said that he would ensure that it was removed. He said that putting up of such pamphlets on the college notice board was not permitted. The faculty members concerned would screen every pamphlet before they were put up on the notice board, he added.

In my point of view hoisting Pakistani flag on Indian soil is highly objectionable at the same time hoisting Pakistani flag on Indian soil purposely by others to malign Muslims is also highly objectionable. Putting up notice board without permission of a principal is a cowardly act.

Mr Nagesh Nayak or anybody for perse, unfurling Pakistan flag in any part of India is an offence and objectionable. It is anti Indian by action and spirit. Those who do are traitors and betrayers and must be tried under Indian Laws. Now Mr Nagesh Nayak, but for Kashmir, where ceassation movement supported by Pakistan is going on, could you please give me the name of any Indian town where Indian citizens have unfurled Pakistan flag. Mr Nayak, dont misguide the general public.

We muslim are true nationals and patriots like you and please go back to the history or pre independence India, where both Muslims and Hindus together fought the British. The way India belongs to you, in the same way it belongs to muslims and christians of this country. Whatever the rights, priviliges and duties you enjoy, is no way denied to Indian muslims and christians. First of all we are Indians and our religion or minority status does not disqualify us from being called Indians. Mr Nagesh mama, stop vomitting venom and hatred towards a particular community. Start preaching and practicing love and peace and see the end results.

All terrorism and hatred shall die down and we all will live peacefully like one family and for your information, we love our mother land more than you and we are ready to die for it at any time. I request you to change your vision and thoughts on minorities.

Mr. Nagesh Nayak patriotism doesn’t bring hatred, disunity amongst community. BD's way of working is nothing but hatred about others who does not follow their ideology. Educational Institute should be free from all external interference and influence whether it is religious, political. Mr. Nayak your statement is prejudice. Indians are quite bold including me to uproot Pakistani flag if ever we find it in our soil. Any how u spoke about yourself and that is your patriotism u have shown for our country.

Nagesh Nayak and Hanif. Do not mix issues. Display of Unwanted Notice or Display of Pakistani Flag are two different issues. It is the Narrow and Fickle minded like you and the Selfish Politicians/Leaders of this Country who have mixed up issues for their selfish Personal Political Gains causing harm to innocent people.

Education is a place of Worship where young minds are educated and disciplined. What was done by B.D. is a notice of Threat and that is not taught in Education Institution. Do not comment if your brains are Rotten.

MR. NAGESH NAYAK, YOU THINK ONLY BAJARANGIS ARE PATRIOTIC ????? YOU MUST BE OUT OF YOUR MIND..!!!!??? COMMUNAL GROUPS ARE SICK IN MY OPINION!!! DO NOT TRY TO JUSTIFY THE ACTION OF DISPLAYING THE BAJARANG DAL PAMPHLET ON A COLLEGE NOTICE BOARD. STUDENTS GO THERE TO GET EDUCATED AND THEN TO FOLLOW WHATEVER PARTY THEY WANT TO FOLLOW. LET THEM GET EDUCATED FIRST MAN.... DO NOT TRY TO CORRUPT THEIR MINDS WITH YOUR SICK IDEOLOGY !!!!!!!

You are right Mr. Ram Bhat .People should stop deviding communities by playing dirty politics. Please live happily and let live others happily. You cannot build a stronger India with single community, for that everyone should join hands together and work together to achieve that goal. Educated people have to work hard to bring communitites together not to devide.

Sriman Nagesh Nayak The way of expressing Patriotism is not by placing Pamphlets of communal groups in a notice board of an educational institute. Patriotism is uniting together to safegaurd the Sovereignty of our nation. Why you didn't dare to speak against the flag hurling incident ? Preaching or adivising is easy but practicing the principles are tough indeed.

I remember our scholl and college notice board's had some sort of lock system whose keys will be available only through Admin office or peons. This way no any Tom Dick & Harry put up things what they want.Things put on board should be noticed, thats the objective, Its surprising the authorities dint notice.
