Moodbidri: Nine-year-old Student Drowns in Tank

Moodbidri, Feb 26: A student accidentally slipped and drowned in a tank near here on Wednesday February 25 evening. He has been identified as Shamshuddin (9), son of Shariff from Valpadi village.

Shamshuddin, a fourth standard student of the Valpady government lower primary school, had come home after attending school and was washing his hands and face in a tank located nearby, when he slipped and drowned in the tank.

Moodbidri police have registered a case.
