Bangalore: Are Gods Angry with CM Yeddyurappa?

TNN

Bangalore, Feb 26 : Has chief minister B S Yeddyurappa shown discrimination towards Gods? Does he face the wrath of Gods worshipped by backward classes and dalit people? According to opposition leader Mallikarjun Kharge -yes.

Starting a debate on budget proposals, Kharge referred to the CM's move of allocating huge amounts in the budget to various temples and mutts. But the budget had not earmarked any amount to deities of lower castes, and to `Aradhana committees' to develop temples not covered by the endowment scheme.

"You've discriminated among Gods. Powerful Gods and mutts have got their due in the budget, while others have to be content with the Aradhana scheme. These Gods (covered under Aradhana) are short-tempered. If they get angry, they will choke you,'' Kharge explained.

Yeddyurappa said he will issue an order on Thursday to release money to these temples.

Medical Camp for Ministers

Kharge suggested Yeddyurappa to hold a medical camp for ministers. Referring to the controversial remarks by Mumtaz Ali Khan and Ramachandra Gowda, Kharge said: "Khan calls minister B Sriramulu as Mohammed Paighambar (messenger of God), while Gowda insults modern art. Please hold a medical camp and investigate their health. It will reveal if they are sane or insane or have high blood pressure. It will be good for you because you need them at least till the Lok Sabha elections."

God will be pleased, if the tax payer's money is wisely used espcially to help the most helpeless of the society, irrespective of their religion. Places of worship are getting huge amount from the regular worshippers, giving more money to the places of worship while discarding the poor human beings is a cruel worship.

Why to allocate tax payers money to temples and mutts or any religious institutions? Why not to spend on development and upliftment of poor. JANATA SEVE = JANARDHANA SEVE. These religious institutions are drawing huge crowds and money, gifts and other offerings from devotees. They dont require any budget. They are rich and getting richer day by day.  We tax prayers are betrayed. Why cant Yeddi pay from his personal funds and why from state treasury? Does the budget in US/UK/EU countries allocate public money for religious endowments? The voters of karnataka must wake up from their sleep and teach this government a lesson which they should not forget until they die.

Dear editor, You will be best served by publishing reports which are relevant to everybody, instead of putting a statement as news article. Also, You must know that maximum number of backward class/SC ST MLAs in the current assembly belong to BJP. Congress acts as if they have the birth right to represent the downward/SC/ST.

Allocate same amount of money for Christians and Muslims. Do not play religion and caste game Yeddi. You will be cursed by innumerable Gods in your own hinduism. Be careful of spending public money for public good. You are accountable for every single penny. Public money is not from you personal account ok. You fund any amount of money on temples or mutts, you can never change people and their narrow minded practices. The moment they realize truth, they will question every move by your administration. Most corrupt and biased administration in our country.

Rs.130 crores sanctioned for various temples, mutts and religious institutions, in the budget. Already these temples, mutts and religious institutions of any religion are flooded with unaccounted and tax free funds collected from the donors and devotees. What is the need for the Govt. to allot funds again..why not these funds are allocated for providing basic amenities such as clean drinking water or education of poor children etc..! yes we know the answer..! vote bank..!!
