Beltangady, Mar 3: The inaugural of 'Sri D Veerendra Heggade Kalakshetra' constructed in the campus of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunateshwara Medical College and Hospital of Sattoor, Dharwad on will be held on Wednesday March 4 ay 5 pm.
The event is being organized by SDM Education Society, Ujire.
Renowned flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chourasia will inaugurate the Kalakshetra.
Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade will preside over the function.
Jagadish Shettar, assembly speaker, Veeranna Mattikatti, legislative council chairman, Prahlad Joshi, Member of Parliament and Dr M Mohan Alva, president, Alva's Education Foundation will participate as chief guests.
The Kalakshetra has been buils by using one of the most ancient art traditions of India, Clay architecture. The air-conditioned auditorium has 1,100 seating capacity, spread over an area of 35,000 sq ft.
