Mangalore: Pregnant Woman Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances

Mangalore, Mar 3: Sangeeta (26), wife of Yashwant and a resident of Attavar Babugudde in the city, who was through her first-time pregnancy, died under mysterious circumstances on the night of Sunday March 1.

Sangeeta from Someshwar and Yashwant were distant relatives and married about 10 months ago. This was the seventh month of her pregnancy, and arrangements were afoot to organize a religious function in this connection as per customs, on March 12.

It is learnt that late evening on Sunday, Yashwant got a call from his wife, who used a coin booth to reach him, asking him to come home immediately. When he reached home, he found her body floating in a well located nearby. Her body was taken out with the help of fire brigade. No case was registered about the incident.
