Mangaluru: Konkani Shree Ramgeeta to be performed at Town Hall on May 12

Mangaluru, May 7: ‘Swarashree Goa’ a renowned musical orchestra troupe will perform 'Konkani Shree Ramgeeta' at Town Hall here on Sunday May 12 at 6 pm.

The musical programme is based on the poems written 50 years ago during the opinion poll held in Goa by famous Konkani poet, late Manoharrai Sardessai and are based on Ramayana.

The 17 member team of ‘Swarashree Goa’ which has performed all over India and abroad is performing for the first time in coastal Karnataka. Entry to this unique music programme for music lovers of the city is free.



The programme is organised by Konkani Bhasha Mandal Karnataka which has been serving for the cause of Konkani and culture since 1974. Bhasha Mandal is instrumental in bringing together Konkanis of various denominations together for the first time in 1989 for Konkani Jatha and in 1995 for The First World Konkani Sammelan held in Mangaluru.
