Kundapur: Cattleshed Gutted: Shocked Owner Loses Life

Kundapur, Apr 10: A cattle-shed located in Beejady village near here, was gutted after it accidentally caught fire, on Thursday April 9. In a tragic incident connected thereto, the owner of the shed also collapsed and died.

Rama Mogera (65), to whom the shed belonged, successfully saved his wife Siddu Mogaveera, who was milking the cow in the cattle-shed at that time, two cows and a calf. After bringing out his wife and the cattle unscathed, he watched in dismay as the shed burnt down and collapsed, having been overwhelmed with grief.

The fire was later doused with the help of local people. The fire brigade personnel from Kundapur arrived in the spot thereafter and assisted in extinguishing fire. The loss due to fire is estimated at around Rs 50,000. Cause for the fire is unknown.
