Bantwal, Apr 10: The policemen, based on an information given by a man just before committing suicide, succeeded in saving him before he lost his life, on Wednesday April 8.

Madesh from Mysore, working in a computer firm in Saibeen Complex, Lalbagh Mangalore, came to know a girl named Tulasi from Modankap village, working in Big Bazaar here. They later got married in Kateel.

After Tulasi died after consuming large quantity of sleeping pills on February 20 because of some problems, Madesh had become depressed. When he was on a visit to the house of his in-laws in Modankap village near B C Road on Wednesday, he called up the police control room in Mangalore, informing them that the dead body of a man was lying in Goremar hillock near Modankap village, before consuming poison.

When the policemen rushed to Goremar hillock, they could not find any dead body there, but heard Madesh writhing in pain. He was immediately brought to Wenlock Hospital here, where the doctors succeeded in removing the harmful toxics from his stomach.

A case has been registered in this connection.
