Mangalore: No Violation of Election Code - Yedyurappa

Mangalore, Apr 10:  ‘The opposition parties are alleging  that  the Chief Minister is  violating the election code but I  never bother if they  send an officer behind me to watch”, said B S Yadyurappa, Chief Minister of the state here at a press meet on Friday, April 10.

He said that, Bangarappa from the Congress and Kumara Swamy from JDS often  point the finger at me saying I have violated the election code. But I  am  sure, I have not.

‘With BJP winning  the majority  of seats , other parties a will learn a lesson .  Five former chief ministers from the state are in the  electoral fray. Voters will  send them home.” he said.

The state government has initiated development plans . The expenditure plan is increased to  22% in 2008-09 and non expenditure plan is increased  to  4%. Revenue has  grown to  Rs 27,614  crores which  is a 6.3 %  increase from last time, said Mr. Yadiyurappa.

The UPA lead  Central government has ignored the state by not providing funds to improve   railway infrastructure ,  National Security  Guards(NSG) Units and flood relief funds, he said.  

BJP will win 23 seats in the state, he added.

Later in the day CM visted Polali temple and particpated in ongoing festival.
