Mangalore, Apr 14: A youth was stabbed and murdered at around midnight in a bar and restaurant located in Kulaigudde, Suratkal on Monday April 13. The murdered has been identified as Harish from Kulai.
It is said, a group of youth were partying at the said bar at around midnight. In a drunken state, the group members were deriding a man who was not present there. Noticing this, another man in the bar presumably passed on this information to the man about whom the group was speaking.
Another gang of youth immediately came to the bar in motor bikes and questioned the men who had spoken ill of one among them. After the verbal friction between the groups changed into fisticuffs, the gang which came on the bikes stabbed and killed Harish. He died on way to the hospital.
The Suratkal police are investigating. Search for the accused who fled from the scene of murder, is on.
