Mangalore, Apr 18: A Yakshagana mythological episode, 'Sri Lalite Parameshwari',  in Tenkutittu tradition, will be performed at Kambalagadde of Kadri Lord Manjunatha Temple on Saturday April 18 at 8.30 pm.

The event is being presented by Kateel Yakshagana Mela.

This Yakshagana performance will be held under the electric lighting that gives one the impression of the traditional oil lamps. Different styles of make up, dance steps and costumes will be on display at the programme.

The musical beats of the instruments will give the original affect to the people without the support of any sound system, said organizer Kadri Navneet Shetty.

Yakshagana artiste Peruvayi Narayana Shetty will be conferred with the 'Smriti Award' in memory of veteran Yakshgana Talamaddale Artadhari, the late Kadri Kambalaguttu Balakrishna Shetty during the said programme, he added.
