Mangaluru: Condolence meeting held to mourn demise of journalist Nagesh Padu

Mangaluru, Jul 23: The condolence meeting to mourn the sad demise of video journalist working for BTV channel, Nagesh Padu, was held at press club in the city on Tuesday, July 23.

Nagesh Padu passed away on July 21. He was suffering from dengue since sometime and was being treated at the KMC Hospital in the city, but failed to respond to the treatment. Nagesh Padu was also a member of the working journalists’ union.

Journalists from various media houses paid floral tribute to Late Nagesh Padu.

Paying homage to the departed soul, president of district working journalists’ union, Srinivas Nayak Indaje said, “Nagesh Padu was a very active journalist and had a passion to work. He was always at the forefront in helping people, who were facing difficulties. Nagesh always involved himself actively in any kind of activity. Be it the journalists’ convention or the sports event, Nagesh was in the forefront. We should stand beside his family and give them our helping hand.”
