Bengaluru, Jul 25: "The party leaders had asked me to remain neutral during the trust vote. Although they later changed stand and asked me to vote in favour of the coalition government by tweet, I had not noticed the information conveyed through twitter account later. Therefore I remained away from the assembly session," said former minister and expelled BSP MLA, N Mahesh.

Speaking at an emergent press meet organized here on Wednesday, Mahesh said he had not noticed the fact that party supremo, Mayawati, had asked him to support the coalition parties during the trust vote. "I was expelled for not attending the assemnbly session. As I was in the meditation centre, I had switched off my cellphone, resulting in this development," he claimed.

He said that he had neither violated party order nor behaved with indiscipline. "I learnt from the media about my expulsion. If anyone says that I have joined hands with BJP, that notion is nonsensical. I too have my personal life, and because of this, there was lack of communicating information. I will discuss with party leaders and hope that everything will return to normalcy," he explained.
