Mangaluru: Boulder clearance work over at Subramanya, train service may start soon

Mangaluru, Jul 25: The work of clearing the mud and rock boulders that fell on the railway tracks on the stretch of Sakleshpur-Subramanya zone, due to the incessant rains since few days, is over. Goods train will be run as a trial on the route on the morning of Thursday. The running of passenger trains on this route will be decided later as per the information provided by the officers of the railway department. 
 
Passenger train services between Bengaluru-Mangaluru was stopped since some days as the rock boulder and sludge was about to fall on the tracks. The work of clearing the boulders and mud at Manibanda is over now. 
 
The work of clearing the tracks was going on continuously, in spite of the bad weather, since five days. The passenger train service will resume once the goods train runs on the tracks on a trial basis.
