Brahmavar, Jul 26: A senior citizen lost her life in an accident which occurred near Handadi here on Thursday July 25. The victim of the accident was Irene D'Silva (70) from Karkeebail here.
Irene was returning home by foot after visiting a relative residing at Hdnadadi when tragedy struck. She was waiting with her son to cross the highway when a car which came from the direction of Kundapur knocked her down.
Irene, who suffered extensive injuries, was immediately admitted into a private hospital at Brahmavar but her life could not be saved. On the basis of complaint made by her son, Maxim Rodrigues, a case was registered in the police station here.
