Puttur: Tahsildar arrested for graft charges gets conditional bail

Puttur, Jul 26: Tahsildar of Puttur taluk, Dr Pradeep Kumar, has been granted conditional bail by the state high court. He was arrested on the charges of demanding bribe of Rs 1.25 lac from the caterers who had supplied food to the employees who had taken part in the Lokk Sabha election process this year.

A single judge bench of the state high court presided over by Justice Sunil Dutt Yadav, which heard the bail application moved by the tahsildar, upheld the application and granted conditional bail.

The judge set out conditions like furnishing of bond worth one lac rupees, cooperating with investigation, evidences should not be destroyed etc for the bail.
