Ajman, Aug 28: The partnership between Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman and the Graduate School of Medicine and Faculty of Medicine, Osaka City University (OCU) has progressed to a higher and more comprehensive level of mutually beneficial opportunities, opening up a host of benefits to students, faculty and researchers of both universities. A MoU to this effect, significantly enhancing the scope and breadth of collaborative undertakings in medical education and research was signed on 9th August 2019, by Prof Hossam Hamdy, Chancellor of GMU and Prof Kenji Ohata, Dean of the Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka City University.

GMU, the Middle East region’s leading medical university and OCU, one of Japan’s most prestigious universities are already tied up for student exchanges and joint educational and training programs. Advancing the discipline of medicine and contributing to the betterment of healthcare delivery and research has always been at the heart of the collaborative partnership between both the universities. GMU has already been hosting OCU students for the observership programme as part of their MBBS program in Japan, in addition to regularly networking and interacting with the academicians, students and researchers on the other side, making the collaboration a fruitful association for advancing its strategic directions. The partnership with Osaka City University is one of the several collaborations activated by GMU, to expand the horizons of knowledge and professional interactions for its students, empowering them to transform into global healthcare professionals.
