Kaup: Two arrested for illegal trafficking of beef during lockdown

Kaup, Apr 10: Police arrested two people who were transporting beef illegally during the lockdown.

Mohammed Safwan (23), a resident of Suratkal Krishnapura and Asghar Ali (39) are the arrested accused. They were carrying 7 kg of beef under the seat of the scooter on which they were riding with the intention of selling the same.

The illegal act of the duo came to light when the police stopped their scooter for checking near a general store in Muloor on the night of April 8.

Kaup police have registered a case against the culprits and further investigation is on.
