Kaup, Apr 12: In a tragic incident, a young divorcee ended her life on the night of Saturday April 11.

The deceased has been identified as Farzana (23), daughter of Abdul Razak, a resident of Manipura.

Farzana took this step ostensibly on account of various problems including marital bothering her.

Sources said that she had been married to Junaid of Doddanagudde, and the couple divorced two years ago.

It is learnt that her younger brother Saif Khan, after having lunch at about 1.30 pm on Saturday, had left home on some work nearby. Their mother was washing clothes outside the house, and Farzana was inside. At around 3.45 pm, Farzana's mother raised an alarm at which Saif and neighbours rushed to the house. They saw that Farzana had hanged herself from the beams of the roof in her room with the help of the veil of her churidar.

A case of unnatural death has been registered relating to this case.

It is surmised that Farzana might have been depressed and frustrated either because of the failure of her marriage or on account of some other reason, which led her to take the extreme step.
