Kundapur: Case registered against man for obstructing on-duty BLO

Kundapur, May 1: A complaint is registered on a man for obstructing a Booth Level Officer (BLO), who was carrying out his duties in the fight against coronavirus, in the village level task force at Gangolli in the taluk.

Abdul Azeez is the person who obstructed BLO Udaya from discharging his duties. A case is registered in this connection at Gangolli police station.

It is alleged that when BLO was discharging his duty of house to house visit on April 29, Abdul Azeez had obstructed his duty and also snatched documents from his hand. Moreover, Abdul also reportedly abused Udaya with profanity.

Though the police were informed of the incident, they did not register a complaint. So the health assistants, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers and other village level officers held a protest in front of Gangolli gram panchayat. Later a case was registered in Gangolli police station based on the complaint filed by tahsildar Tippeswamy.
