Bangalore: Archbishop Releases Kannada, Konkani Bible Diary

Bangalore, Jan 1: After 22 years of uninterrupted publication of the Claretian Bible in English, Claretian Publications, India have come out with the Kannada and Konkani version of the Bible diary.  “We felt the need to serve the people of Karnataka so have begun with the publication of the Kannada and Konkani Bible diary which is the fruit of over 3 months of hard work of priests of Karnataka who have contributed to its pages” says Claretian priest Fr. Benny who has been serving as Director of the Claretian Publications for over 6 years.

The Konkani and Kannada Bibles are the first time publication of Claretians.



Archbishop Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras who released the English, Kannada and Konkani versions at the Archbishops House, 6.30pm on 31st December in the presence of Brilliant Printers Proprietor Anil Rego, Publisher Fr Benny Finance officer (Bangalore Archdiocese) Fr. C Francis and Fr. Prem (Secretary to the Archbishop) said “This is a great contribution to the people of Karnataka and will surely be a great support to priests and to laity in the ministry of the word.  The hard work of priests involved in the production of these diaries will not go unrewarded.  The word of God, as always, is alive and active sharper than a double edged word.  I hope and pray these diaries will help people grow in the word of God”

“Claretian Bible  diaries are also printed in Tamil and hindi and are marketted all across the world.  The Konkani and kannada diaries will also be available at all leading catholic stores.  Claretian publications, Bangalore can also be contacted for bulk copies of the same” Fr. Benny said.
