Mangaluru: MLA Dr Bharath Shetty commends Rotary Club's service to humanity

Mangaluru, May 5: MLA Dr Bharath Shetty on May 5 inaugurated the newly constructed ten hand-washing facilities at APMC yard Baikampady.

He lauded the community service project of Rotary Mangalore Central. MLA Umanath Kotian was the chief guest on the occasion. He appreciated the efforts of the Rotary Club as it will daily benefit traders and customers in the yard. It is also a small step against coronavirus.

APMC president, Praveen Kumar was the guest of honour on the occasion.

Past Rotary district governor, Rtn Dr Devadas Rai revealed that the ten hand-washing units comprise of liquid soap water, supported by a 2000 ltr Syntex overhead tank for uninterrupted water supply, the project cost was approximately Rs 50,000.

On the occasion, past president Rtn Dr Nandakishore Rao, Rtn Santhosh Shet, Rtn Ravi Jaalan, Rtn Manjunath Revankar, president-elect, Rtn Prakash Chandra were present.
Secretary Rtn K M Hegde coordinated the programme, past president Rtn Rajgopal Rai proposed the vote of thanks.
